What is Google My Maps?
My Maps creates custom maps with your own places, layers, and annotations. It is useful for planning or presenting a collection of locations. These authored maps are different from ordinary saved-place lists in the main Maps application.
Open the right destination
Use the account associated with the work you want to open. If Google selects another account automatically, switch using its profile menu. Complete the destination’s identity checks and any required account setup.

- Open an existing map or create one for a defined purpose.
- Add locations and organize them into understandable layers.
- Review the sharing audience and the map’s labels before distribution.
A practical way to use Google My Maps
Use separate layers for meaningful groups such as venues, transport, and accommodation. Keep descriptions short and include the exact address when a location could be ambiguous.
Troubleshooting
A collaborator can view the map but cannot edit it.
Review the map’s sharing permissions and the recipient’s selected account. Viewing a public or shared map does not necessarily grant editing access.
Common questions
Will this replace live navigation in Maps?
Custom maps organize geographic information. Use the appropriate Maps navigation workflow for a live journey.
Why does the direct link still ask me to sign in?
The shortcut reaches the application entry point. It cannot carry your Google session between browsers, grant permissions, or bypass verification. Follow the sign-in instructions on the destination service.
Do I need an account with The Login Link?
No. This directory does not require registration. The Open button takes you to the service; any account credentials are entered there.
