What is NotebookLM?
NotebookLM is a research workspace built around sources you add to a notebook. It helps you explore that material and develop source-grounded outputs. The quality and scope of the source collection matter: an answer about one notebook is not a complete search of everything on the web.
Open the right destination
Use the account associated with the work you want to open. If Google selects another account automatically, switch using its profile menu. Complete the destination’s identity checks and any required account setup.
Before you start
Your first useful task
- Open or create a notebook for a defined research question.
- Add relevant sources and check that their content imported as expected.
- Ask focused questions and inspect the supporting citations in the original material.
A practical way to use NotebookLM
Keep a notebook’s scope understandable. Separate unrelated projects and remove outdated material when it would confuse the research. Treat generated summaries as an aid to reading rather than a replacement for checking a source’s actual claim.
Troubleshooting
An answer misses information you expected.
Check whether the relevant source is present, readable, and included in the working context. Ask a narrower question and inspect the source directly before concluding that the information is absent.
Common questions
Does sharing a notebook mean everyone can edit it?
The sharing role determines what a recipient can do. Review notebook access separately from permissions on original files or documents used as sources.
Why does the direct link still ask me to sign in?
The shortcut reaches the application entry point. It cannot carry your Google session between browsers, grant permissions, or bypass verification. Follow the sign-in instructions on the destination service.
Do I need an account with The Login Link?
No. This directory does not require registration. The Open button takes you to the service; any account credentials are entered there.
