What is Looker Studio?
Looker Studio is the familiar name many teams use for the reporting tool now documented as Data Studio. This guide retains that search term and links to the reporting workspace. It brings data sources into visual reports that can be shared with viewers. Report access and permission to use the underlying data are separate parts of a working dashboard.
Open the right destination
Use the account associated with the work you want to open. If Google selects another account automatically, switch using its profile menu. Complete the destination’s identity checks and any required account setup.
Before you start
Your first useful task
- Open the report list and choose the intended report.
- Check its connected data sources and reporting date controls.
- Review sharing and data credentials before giving another person the report link.
A practical way to use Looker Studio
Label charts with the metric, period, and any important filter. When totals disagree with another dashboard, compare the source, calculation, time zone, and date field before assuming either chart is broken.
Troubleshooting
A report opens but its charts show an authorization error.
The report may be shared while its data connection is unavailable to the viewer. Ask the report owner to review the source credentials and the access model used for that report.
Common questions
Is this the same as Looker in Google Cloud?
The related names refer to different product experiences. Use the reporting tool your team actually uses and confirm the report URL before requesting access.
Why does the direct link still ask me to sign in?
The shortcut reaches the application entry point. It cannot carry your Google session between browsers, grant permissions, or bypass verification. Follow the sign-in instructions on the destination service.
Do I need an account with The Login Link?
No. This directory does not require registration. The Open button takes you to the service; any account credentials are entered there.
