What is Chrome Remote Desktop?
Chrome Remote Desktop provides remote access and remote-support workflows. The remote computer must be configured appropriately and available for a session. Permanent access to your own computer and a temporary support session are different setups.
Open the right destination
Use the account associated with the work you want to open. If Google selects another account automatically, switch using its profile menu. Complete the destination’s identity checks and any required account setup.
Before you start
Your first useful task
- Choose remote access or remote support according to your task.
- Confirm the host computer is set up and available.
- Connect using the required authentication or support code and end the session when finished.
A practical way to use Chrome Remote Desktop
Name hosts clearly so you do not connect to the wrong machine. For support, share session information only with the person you intend to authorize and observe the scope of access being granted.
Troubleshooting
A computer appears offline.
Check its power, connectivity, host setup, and account association. Opening the website on another device cannot make an unavailable host connect.
Common questions
Does opening this page automatically expose my computer?
No. Host setup and access authorization are required for the relevant workflow. Read the setup and connection prompts before granting access.
Why does the direct link still ask me to sign in?
The shortcut reaches the application entry point. It cannot carry your Google session between browsers, grant permissions, or bypass verification. Follow the sign-in instructions on the destination service.
Do I need an account with The Login Link?
No. This directory does not require registration. The Open button takes you to the service; any account credentials are entered there.
